Description
Intended to create a late 60's sounding tune, then I got a bit carried away.

NMH Thanks Steve -- I really appreciate your feedback! Pretty simple lyrics...basically a variation of... I'm not missing her, I'm not missing her at all, don't want to hear about it, don't want to talk about it, don't want to think about it. Someday, someone, somehow, somewhere, someway -- I don't miss her, don't want to hear about it, don't want to think about it. Check out my latest song called Spring

ooo Agree with feter regarding your juicy thick guitar tone! Nice. The mix of keys and grungy guitar rhythm is great. Just noticed the bass line was putting me into a trance too. I didnt pick up on that at first but it's very hypnotic buried deep in there. cool vibe Check out my latest song called Living Dead Love Song in Z minor (HALLOWEEN 2012)

NMH Thanks, Ted. Glad you liked it. I started out to try and replicate a version of Gloria I heard a group do in high school -- that was a really long time ago. Didn't get very far with that effort, but it did inspired the base line I used in this tune and riff at the two breaks. Check out my latest song called Spring

How long has this been going on? I mean, the song by Ace. Your intro reminds me of it. (Ah, I see I'm not the only one.) But then you go in a different direction. Very tasty guitar work! And the vocals are cool too. Say, did you know we live in the same town? Check out my latest song called Fourth Candle

Austin Victor -- Actually, I intended it to be more like a Shadows of Night thing, and it took a different direction as I assembled the layers. I thought you were a Brit, didn't realize you live in Austin. Check out my latest song called Spring

Not Missing Her Going for the sixties, but I would say you nailed a Steely Dan type sound here. Very nice guitar work in this one. Love the sweep stuff. Guitar tone is warm and thick. Sounds good! Check out my latest song called Devil's Argument!!!

Hmm You know, I wasn't even thinking about Steely Dan, but now that you mention it -- it does sound a bit like a steely Dan tune. Check out my latest song called Spring

all over Yes, very Steeley. But cool with a lot of mixed-up influences that I can't put my finger on. jazzy cool, but crunchy and smooth, like I said a big contradiction. Nice! P Check out my latest song called My Broken Sky

Chorus needs a verse You do a great job with your layered harmony vocals. Very tight, well sung, balanced mix. However, the song is, in my ears, one long chorus with no verse, and then a repeating coda based on the chorus, and then more chorus. And no story. Would you consider creating a verse, in which the accompaniment thins and a solo lead vocal tells a story, and then ramps up into the chorus based on your very nice harmonies? Then you could have a more balanced, complete song. Well done chorus and coda, tho. Check out my latest song called Frozen Man (by James Taylor)

Chorus and Coda I vaguely recall something about codas from my college music appreciation course, but otherwise I'm not that well trained. If I understand correctly, and which I agree with, the song could use a little break from its repetitive theme. Actually, I was so excited how this came together so quickly -- I just had to post it. Thanks for the idea, and I'll give it a go before I cd-ify it. Check out my latest song called Spring

This is not what I expected, it is cool.
Great lead guitar, and vocal harmonies. Perhaps you could post the lyrics. like the 70's band "ACE."
