Description
Just redisovered this track from 1994
The band pre-dated super 8 by about 12 months and at that time we were called 'elation'
This was my (all of us) first exposure to midi in a recording studio setting
As I recall, the setup was an 8 track analogue studio and the computer was an Atari STe 1040 running c-lab creator
The drum machine was yamaha something or other and the keyboard sound was a yamaha TX18? sound module
The TB 303 was a real one and was ours. The sampler was a casio SK1
I played guitar
David Griffiths played guitar and sang
Simon Hough played the keyboards
Ian Hough played the bass
Back in 1995 I/we had no idea about what the reality of the mexican border was and I never dreamed I would be living in Arizona one day, relatively so close to it
This recording is lifted directly from a wobbly cassette tape demo (you can hear that long forgotten analogie tape hiss) and enhanced slightly in sony soundforge
This always was a real stomper when we played it live - maybe I will get a band together one day and play it again here in Phoenix...
Produced by Dread Lester in Blakenhall, Wolverhampton 1994
