bringing it back the key to this tune is that quiet section that begins around 1:51. i kept rewinding to listen to it from there, it's almost easy listening under the vocals and percussion...and that "just the other day" line could be from a soft rock adult hit in the late 70's early 80's. i love that vibe, and am really intrigued by the way you bury this stuff. i always like picking your tunes apart to see what's going on. Dark... .. you consistently defy the listener with your arrangements, challenging them to delve into the composition and eke out meaning and melody. This is no different, amazing textures and rhythms crashing against each other. At the heart of it there's a pop song screaming for release. A real pleasure to discover this one. What is this style called? Psychedelic doesn't seem to be enough... The expanse of your inventiveness is bordering on the scary — in a very good way. You just keep coming up with new ways to express yourself. This one has a very distinct pulse, though, in your percussion loop. THAT keeps the whole thing together...
