Solid. That's what comes to mind as I listen to this song and the mix. Everything is secure and well-proportioned. I like the right-side pan of the organ/strings—whatever they are—but in a headset they are a little disconcerting. Guitar solo is very cool and just long enough to satisfy the listener without overtaking the whole piece. Bass is so solid but not overpowering... As for the vocals, I have a different take than moorlandt: I LIKE the vocals way up front so I can hear them easily. I think you made a good choice in this regard. Nice nice work. Hi Paul such kind words. i always listen to my favorite artist and feel the vocals are right in front, and the music accompaniment is in back, so, i tend to mix (even though i am vocally insecure)vox's up. funny the right pan on the strings things was something i noticed in some Beatles music. i think when things are always mixed towards the center it sounds less live. sonny this comment is so inspiring.4 my music to touch you in that way (2 make u feel good) is so very cool. funny thing,... i wrote this about my currant wife years ago, and the separation was not meant literally just a mental thing. But now i am going thru a separation almost as if i knew that one day man...anyway... its so cool to get your support. The bass, the funky guitar riff, the tight drums,... it was Chic that popped up in my head after the first four bars. Great guitar soloing. One little quibble: I'd put the vocals a bit less upfront, more integrating with the music. Sweet post overall.
