Description:
Guitar Based 3:12

Hardware:
My typical set up is an iMac with Garage Band. I play a modified Fender Strat and Fender Precision Bass. To help modify the sound I run the Strat through a Cry Baby Wah Wah, Ibenez TS9DX Tube Screamer, Johnson J-Station Amp Modeler and Blue Tube Stereo Preamp. The bass is also modified by the J-Station. The drums are Drums On Demand.

Software:
Garage Band & Logic Express 7

awwwwesome jam &mdash 12/27/04 - 05:54:25 PM
love the intro sound-was hoping to hear it worked into
part of the song somewhere else. really great show of
emotion in your playing. the drum loops seem to fall short
compared to the other parts of the song for me-just a
mindless drummer tryin to keep up

good guitar &mdash 12/27/04 - 07:02:00 PM
Your guitar playing is excellent on this track.

The drums sound a bit canned and faraway; they could
use more of the lower frequencies. The bass guitar could
be kicked up a notch or two as well.

The panning at the beginning WAS cool, and I agree with
_nderscore's wish to have it come back again in the song
in some form.

A pro loose in the studio again &mdash 12/28/04 - 12:26:19 PM
Another incredibly pro, balanced, strong guitar piece.
Great playing. Like GTRm an instant classic. I especially
like the opening/ending sections and your use of
syncopation, and the layering at the ends of your phrases.
Sounds like a pro studio recording. Great track.

Solid! &mdash 12/30/04 - 09:12:12 AM
a great arrangement and tight execution. I like the opening crossfade of the white noise.

kick a@# &mdash 12/30/04 - 06:12:00 PM
I need to here more! I only got about a minute and a half, is that what I'm sapposed to get? or, once again, am I doing something wrong?

kick a@# &mdash 12/31/04 - 08:56:51 AM
The song is 3:12 long so you should be getting more. Try again some other
time maybe it's just a connection problem. Is it just my song or is it also
others?

Genesis 3:12? (or GTR) &mdash 12/31/04 - 10:50:03 AM
oh, that intro sound opens a song tobin and I are working on! dang. such great playing, such passion in your sound. great guitar effects and drive-through in your lines that never stoop but just keep shaping themselves forward. nice western sound. i could see the inner cowboy taking on the wilderness with grit and independence. my favorite part is the transition into the recap; your A section really grooves.

Smokes! &mdash 02/14/05 - 09:08:15 AM
Very, very tasty. Seemed like a bit of Eric Johnson and a
touch of Robin Trower on the lead. Switching from speed
to lyrical on the lead was very good. Endless speed guitar
just gets annoying.

Want some PB with that Jam? &mdash 06/11/05 - 05:09:47 PM
Nice guitar jam. Good solid playing.

This would be way better if the drums felt like part of the
mix rather than something you were keeping time to...

Good Jam! &mdash 08/13/05 - 07:15:39 AM
I can't seem to be able rate your song for some reason and will have to look into that, but wanted you to know that I really enjoyed it. Had a good flow and sound without trying to prove you're the second coming of a guitar god. Had more of a melody line and emotional quality than a lot of the intrsumentals I hear here.

Keep up the good work!

GREAT GUITAR &mdash 10/02/05 - 08:11:08 PM
YEA, THE DRUMS COULD BE KICKED UP A LITTLE.BUT I THINK YOU FOCUSED ON THE GUITARS,AND YOU DID A GREAT JOB AT THAT. YOU SHOULD BE PROUD

Yeah &mdash 12/07/05 - 04:52:08 PM
really nice guitar. You have a good and complete sound. l like the song
compostion, well ordered. The effect of reverse playing is kicks in! Some
parts remind me of the red hot, Frusciante style. Keep going.
