Description
I decided to post this as a MacJams Reunion Festival song to show the difference between where I was 3 years ago on production and where I am now. I posted an earlier version, called "New Blues for Old" of this song without any vocal, but it was suggested I write lyrics for it. So this version is now complete
as I've finally add the vocals to it and extended the song for them. Still has the same feel, but I think this version is much better.
What say you ?
Thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy "Trading New Blues for Old" and the MacJams Reunion Festival

All right let's tell em about it, yeah, Play that guitar Yeah Baby, Don't hurt me no more
Ain't my heart had enough pain, Ahhh feel it man feel it, Alright now
I'm gonna tell ya about it, Gonna tell ya how it is Baby, so listen up here, and listen good !
Verse 1
Seems like every time my heart starts to heal
You keep common' back around, - yes ya do, - and it's a shame
Just when my heart start to warm, Pretty Baby
You keep common' back and turnin' it cold, - Yes you do - Oh Yeah
I'm so tired of you messin' round Baby - Tradin' New Blues for Old, - Yeah, yes I am
Verse 2
Ain't no use in me complaining' - Bout you breakin' me apart,
ain't no use Baby, ain't gonna make a difference
Comin' back in dem hi heel shoes, - And steppin' on my heart
It's my life of misery
Tradin' New Blues for Old, Yeah Baby
Instrumental verse
Verse 3
Well they tell me nothing' in this life is free
And I believe in what I'm told, Yeah I do, I believe it baby
Specially when it comes to you little darlin', - Cause Baby this it getting kinda old
Don't want you common' back no more, - Tradin' New Blues For Old,
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Oh Yeah

all round performance Ed, voice is strong and bluesy as ever... and the guitar playing is something I envy.... but then you come up with organ playing as well.... all sounds top of the range from this end my friend.... really nice trade in, regards M
