Thanks Man Yeah, kids are pretty hip these days and don't necessarily want childish things. They wear a lot of t-shirts with electric guitars on them (even the girls sporting their Hannah Montana shirts). So I like to give them ample opportunity to play air guitar. Quick Story My sons an excellent bassist. One night he sat in with a band of which I was the bassist. I moved over to guitar. On the break a musician in the crowd asked me if there was anything I couldn't play. To which my own son said "put his ass on a drum kit and he'll have no clue." Drums were never my thing. I remember this song... takes me... um... WAY back :-) But man what an arrangement, excellent tones on the guitars (love the shimmers on the side), super bass (duh), great singing/harmony, and the groovin' bluesy guitar work here is not POSSIBLE to sit still to, just gets me all wiggly, cool stuff! Another Gem Ya know, I'm chuckling a bit as I listen. When I was a kid I'd recite these rhymes over & over. Never thought twice about what I was singing, hec as long as it rhymed! Now as an adult, I scratch my head and laugh at how obscure some of these rhymes are. Wonderful job, Andrew. I'm so glad I got to hear some of your earlier work. Thank You Yet Again! I've had the same thought about the meaning of some of these rhymes. That's why they're only powerful teaching tools when used in phonemic awareness, phonics, and oral reading fluency lessons. There's not a lot of good reading comprehension lessons in these.
