Much better Adore the sax work, and the way you incorporated the sax into the cool soundbed, perfect. The trumpet is still a little nasally and slightly more "dry" in the mix than I would like (perhaps back a little, more room reverb, and an occasional 1-second echo of a phrase ending for some tail?) And I prefer this non-smoking model better :-) But this is turning into something very compelling and enjoyable to listen to, over and over... wonderful work as always, Victor! ttfn, Drakonis Check out my latest song called Synthopolis 0x02 (VIDEO!)

great first thing I noticed was the solid kick drum and percs. Clean and appealing. the composition itself is great, a chilled out lounge jazz feel reminds me of earhtbound. putting that trumpet in the same song as andys sax hmm not too sure. The trumpet I believe is a little too much on the high end and thin, needs some sort of adjustment, whether it be less high more low to mid on the eq? some reverb?, not too sure. the trumpet isnt bad by any means, but could use adjusting maybe. love andys sax. So rich and vibrant. great track..most definatly a fav. held me from start to finish. Check out my latest song called Mechanical Memories

Victor Not much to add than the previous posts. I think the trumpet does sound better and more natural in this one. Andy's contrib is so good (nothing new here neither). The sax adds a lot of flavor and variation to the song. Really enjoyed this version. Check out my latest song called Everything

Vic It's really cool that you asked me to play on this. you have a good touch on the entire sound. What I liked best was the keyboard soloing during the first half of the tune. It was forward but still in that Downtempo/chill feel. Appreciate the way you handled the sax files. I actually like the synth solo that I replaced... kinda wanted you to keep in the b/g some, but hey - your song and what a song it is... liked the incidental sounds too. I kinda liked the smoking model myself. Check out my latest song called Dark Waters w/scofugate, ktb, Pickquickrecords, Ren-Tin-10

Nonesuch too Very nice Vic. Super smooth and super chilly. The sax gives it that late night downtown smokey bar feel. I am sitting here getting some work done on my computer and I hit replay several times - perfect music to stay cool to while working. I liked the first post of this and am amazed at the difference and lift that you have achieved..like adding lemon zest to fried haloumi and basil..But the trumpet is the trumpet right...? The sax is great and contrasts greatly with the horn and that is what justifies the trumpets tone. Not that it needs justifying.Maybe the original solo trumpet piece needs muted and un muted trumpet parts,at seperate times. For what it's worth... Solutions There are various ways of approaching the problem the original track had that there was just too much of that trumpet. Seeing that Andy is a nice guy and easy to work with, I opted for the solution of having some sax. An unmuted trumpet would be another solution, but I like the loose feel of the sax solos. Also I think my replacement keys solo is slightly better than the original. Check out my latest song called Fourth Candle

Great Neo Soul Vibe I really dig the neo-soul groove and the e-piano hits. Nice new chords at 1:30 (piano solo). Great saxes. The harp at 3:50 is a very cool touch. I'm a big fan of MeShell Ndegeocello. This piece brought to mind so much of her great work. Check out my latest song called Just Ain't Worth a Song (2 Track)
