I'm not really sure what genre this falls under so suggestions are welcome--for now it's experimental.
I just took a rhythm and played with it and this is the result. I'm still working on it but just wanted to hear some reactions first. First half is in 9/8 while the second is straight 4/4. I got the title from a Percy Shelley poem called Ode to the West Wind. In the poem he's referring to the wind as being an entity of both preservation and destruction (and also alluding to the Hindu Gods Shiva the Destroyer and Vishnu the Preserver), and I took that metaphor and applied it to the time signatures--9/8 being the destroyer (destroying convention), and 4/4 being the preserver (preserving convention). Enough of the nerd talk. Enjoy!

Love the meaty tones here. The groove is tight.
