I always liked this song, but there was something about the mix that bothered me....
I opened the original GarageBand2 file in Logic and promptly lost the two MIDI software instruments, so I chose a new synth and then mixed down aif's of the 'missing' synths and wove them in and out of the mix.
The background voices are from the original, but for whatever reason they stand out a whole lot more in Logic than they did in Garageband. So, while it sounds like there are more background vox than in the original...there aren't ;)
I reassigned Jam Pack Orchestral strings to the prior "Hollywood Strings" MIDI
I recorded new vox for the 'solo' voice.

I haven't heard the original mix but this sounds really good. All the vocals sound excellent, the main vocal standing out nicely against the background.
