Description

This is my effort for the reunion festival. I have not been on MacJams very long so I had a bit of trouble re-working an old tune as I do not have many. So instead I chose to rework an oldish tune using Logic Express 9, a recent new tool in my musical toy box. So I experimented, added a little, change some instruments, and generally messed around. Here is the result, hope you like it.

	Thank you Mr Grooves I am so glad you enjoyed it. I think I have sussed the arpeggiator, a bit of a long winded approach to something Cubase does so much simpler. Getting it to bounce is the hard bit. Check out my latest song called Betty's Song

Reminds me of The Fun Boy Three. Glad to see you got yourself Logic. Unless there've been some big improvements in Logic 9, a decent, easy to use arpeggiator is something sadly lacking in both Logic 7 and 8.

Very cool tune, I'm listening as I type. Yes, some lovely glassy arps at the end, very nice.

I think maybe you could bring the drums up in the main section? They seem a bit far back in the mix. A minor thing.

I did struggle a bit with the mix, I think the reverb busses may be muddling the mid range, so the drums seem to drift back in the mix even though the level has not changed. I need to get to grips with Logic yet. I have only express so lack of mastering tools, but I do get better GB integration and guitar amp and pedal board, plus Flex. Thanks for listening

	Interesting Hi Martin....god my recordings on Acid pro 4 are so basic compared to this,( budgets and a family that always find other things to spend my wages on!) What is an arpegiator? 	Arpeggiator forgot to say an arpeggiator is used at the end of the piece. It generates notes based on a chord or some thing like that. So you play say a C major and the arpeggiator generates a sequence of notes. Check out my latest song called Betty's Song
