Really good! Having overcome a speech impediment as a child through the singing, I know how powerful a tool music is in education. Thanks You! I teach in what is primarily an immigrant community. Most of my students are from homes where Spanish is the primary language. As a result, many come to school with various speech and language problems. So I see every day exactly the kind of thing you refer to in your own personal story. Guitar Tee Shirts Everywhere Electric guitars have seen a real resurgence amongst younger children in recent years. I see shirts with classic Gibsons and Fenders all the time, even on 1st grade girls. So featuring electric guitars in my children's arrangements just makes sense. Thanks again. Well beggar me, If we had had teachers producing this type of music then music classes and singing might have been a bit more inspiring than having to sit with castanets and marracas singing "There was an old man called Michael Finnegan" and "Bobby shafted an old whore"......no no wait a minute that was in the rugby club "Bobby Shaftoes gone to war" I meant....okay,okay, I'll go and stand in the corridor ,sorry. The fox found this one after "Donkey" Another classic,I recorded a version of this on my first commercial back in 1971 (that's how old I am) It was slightly more manic and got faster as it went along. the up feel to this. Nice fun blues here. I feel honored to be the first post to this. Great use of the lyrics with the percussion and the guitar chords, leads etc.
Way to go. I think those students are very lucky to have you has a teacher. They can actually have FUN in learning! And that is what I think is great in a top notch teacher ! Plus those years are SO impressionable and need great teachers!
