Description
I recorded this song in 2006 when I started doing home recording alone. I didn't really know what I was doing then. I had tried to go back and fix this a few times, but the file would always crap out. Yesterday, I had the afternoon to myself and thought I'd tried to take another stab at this...and it WORKED. I used a karaoke mic from my old VCR to record this. I had such crap equipment then lol. And I have learned so much since then.
Anyway, today is my 3rd MJ anniversary, so I thought it would be appropriate to post one of my lost tracks that I had from then. Although I never posted it.
I'd also like to thanks everyone for their continued support. When I first joined I thought I was just a song writer, but for some reason, you enjoyed my singing and I'm glad it doesn't damage your ears.

Lyrics
The First Time
Around this time
I don’t know what I saw
A funny kind of thing
Looking up
I don’t believe what I saw
Letters dance around
I couldn’t think straight
I couldn’t feel all right
I was afraid to make a sound
It was the first time
It was the last time
It was the first time
It was the last time
For me
Spoken words
Don’t make any sense
A confusing thing to me
Illusions warn
Of a terrible dream
An alarming thing to see
I may never come back
And get back on track
What it all is meant to be
It was the first time
It was the last time
It was the first time
It was the last time
For me
A man with a coat, circle ‘round his eyes
A woman sees the light and turns to say good-bye
To the child of her mother as she walks across the road
Forget about last night and the stories that were told
I can see, I can see
Look at me and the way it used to be
A beggar with a cardboard bow underneath his knees
Did you see him, see him walking next to me?
Did you see him drowning, drowning in the sea?
I can see, I can see
It’s not my shadow it just another face
And he’s taken all my possessions and put them in a safe
See him, see him…
