Banana Man

Description
This song was written for a challenge on another site. The rules were that the song had to start with the word banana. I decided to do an improvisational song -- no lyrics written down; I just laid down some loops and started singing. Nothing serious here, I assure you. Having a wee bit of fun.

Girl!
Your calling is definitely the blues and jazz. When
someone can take a bit of nonsense and bring on
something gritty, sensual, and professional... well, then
they should keep doing that and more. Great
performance in this ad lib session!

Girl!
Thank you, Dadai! I have a secret penchant for doing improvisational jazz/
blues songs. My GB folder is full of them. I'm grateful to have found a home
for some of them.

Cool Jams
The vocal wobbled a little starting out and I thought, damn, this is going to be painful. But then you got into it. "Never going to be a bunch again" - Very clever and strong vocal to deliver it. Very nice!

Cool Jams
Thank you, Alan -- It does start a little weakly, but my internal rule for
Improv songs is to just let them happen and let the notes fall where they may.
If I re-sing or fuss and fix, it's no longer improv to my mind. Thanks for
sticking with it!

effortless
Fun song! You probably made this up in, like, 10
minutes...right? Well, you make it all seem so
effortless. A lot of great lines in this one. I like how
you let loose a bit near the end. The music fit really
well here, too... simple, but effective.

Thank you, Stun -- and I'll admit that it didn't take much time. I was pretty
haphazard with the loops (just threw up every piano loop in that section, then
listened and deleted the ones that didn't fit. I sang to what was left). I don't
want to make it seem like I didn't care; I was experimenting with
improvisational looping and singing. Just creating something out of thin air,
fast and instinctively. It was a lot of fun!

Some people work better that way, and you seem to do it well - laying
down ideas in an quick, or efficient, manner. It lets us be more
spontaneous and expressive, I think. You go girl!

you didn't slip!
You've got a great voice, and really warmed up as this
tune progressed.

The way you choose and combine these loops is truly
masterful; they sound fresh and original. I think that's an
under-rated aspect on MacJams. It does indeed take talent
and finesse to work with loops, and you've GOT it.

Cute, fun lyrics.

you didn't slip!
Thank you, Cameron! Lol at the "didn't slip". And what a nice thing to say
about my looping! I know that a lot of people don't like loops, so your
comment is much appreciated.

Simply a very nice voice/ well intune
Thanks for that jazzy voice!

With a voice like that, you can make a lot of average music
real nice to listen to. Not that this music is average. But
again, nice voice!

Thank you, Drumpat! It's always a thrill to see that someone listened to one
of the older songs. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
