Description
So Here's the first idea on the expanded tracks for this project. I wanted to go from familiar, somewhat structured noises to the dreamy qualities of the sketches. Since I don't want to simply expand them to 6-10 min, I cobbled up this little soundscape to tie into the first sketch. As always Please leave comments to help me out here. I really appreciate it.

Very cool
I like this extended version and you should do the same with the others. Patient build up of some lovely sounds gives an excellent ambient soundscape. I especially like the low end stuff.

Overall, it's very quiet and I think you could up the volume quite a bit. I've had a look at the waveform and you have a couple of peaks in there, the main one being at 3.40. If you put a limiter on the master, you could easily get away with upping the gain quite a bit, without altering any dynamics.

A very nice piece of work, all the same.

Taking time to "immerse" the listener
now That's what I'm talking about. Very nice intro. As this progresses, though, and you have now added real dialogue, this begins to diverge from the music telling a story, to the sounds and voices telling the story. I have mixed feelings about this. I sort of like the idea of keeping it a little vague, so the listener has to fill in some gaps. On the other hand, you COULD go the other way, and make this a literal story, almost like a radio-broadcast (think "War of the Worlds"). Not sure which way you may want to go with it. But if you want to stay with a more music-driven piece, I would suggest having the radio chatter not give away things like saying "Oh my god, it's huge", because now there's no ambiguity, he definitely saw something and reported it. Whereas what I liked about your first take on this, was that the listener at the end was still wondering "did he really see anything at all, or was it a nightmare as he was passing out?" But I tend to like those kinds of stories, maybe you're shooting for something different.

Just my thoughts. Carry on, Cap'n!

Mixed Feelings
on it myself to be honest. I like the ides of something big that wallops the submersible thus giving a reason for it to have failed, though I'm not certain of this particular clip. Originally the sketches are basically my musical impression of each "scene" so extending them is difficult for me.

Considering
removing the radio chatter alltogether. It might make the "impact moment" that much more jarring.
