Description
Well I am really sorry to all of you, but I did not expect this to get that long ... so I hope some of you will have the patience to go through the whole thing. Anyway, journey around the world is a long run and it ends at the same place where it starts. You can also see and hear all different kinds of things at different environements, but eventually you find out that all is connected and very same and simple in the essence of oneness ... so I hope I kept all these principles in my "little" creation :-) Have fun!

Wow!
Love the beginning. Perfectly understated, guitar sounds full and rich, speaking with clear tones and depth. The chord progressions and melodies are well developed and evolve with a steady flow - the synth pad and guitar work beautifully together.

Can't believe how well you mix the percussion, synths, guitars and sound effects. The rhythm guitar sounds a bit thin and harsh in my speakers but that's a detail. I could also imagine the addition of a bass somewhere in the middle. Marimba (is it?) towards the end is perfect and very Sigur Ros.

It's a good sign when a track feels much shorter than it is:) I really enjoyed Pilgrim, but this makes for an even more satisfying and complete listening experience.

Wow!
Thanks you so much for leaving a note ... I am glad you made the whole tour until the end with "metalofon" (Sigur Ros :-)) Some of the guitar sounds are rather demonstrative ... I use one guitar with different setups for all sounds and than just finalize with efect plugins, but I wish I would redo the rhythm parts with real accoustic on mic later. I really enjoyed working on this one and all went quite simply and naturally ... so I am really glad you enjoyed the listening!

Thanks a lot for listening and comment. It is for me always quite an elaborate work to handle all the tracks with huge reverbs when I am mixing a song that I want to be very spacious. Glad you liked

Gorgeous opening...
It begins, sounding a bit like one of Mike Oldfield's old albums ("Songs of Distant Earth", I think?) Nice percussion work, wonderful choice of instruments and transitions, and effortless guitar seems to sail through this with panache. Near the end (9"), it sounds like there is a little too much high-midrange, it sounded a little "harsh". I would cut the highs a teeny bit, and ramp up some underlying bass work there to give it momentum toward the soft finish. Very nice work here, and it seemed like 2 minutes, not 10... perfectly paced.
ttfn,
Drakonis

Oldfield
In fact, the original inspiration to the song came to me after listening to Mike Oldfields version of Shdows "Wonderful Land" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klKCQZJEFlA). I wanted to keep the end more bright and shiny, so made a choice of rather high ranged instruments ... hard to manage all these hights :) Thank you so much!

Around The World
WOW Honza - this is WONDERFUL! I love how it builds slowly, getting eventually some masterful guitar work that is an especially great listen - and then comes back down at around 7:30. this is VERY impressive, and i plan to enjoy it many times! this will go onto the motorcycle trip playlist!

you can
make these as long as you want and I'll listen to them all. This is stunningly gorgeous and an aural journey through time and space. You did an incredible job of bringing in different sounds and textures to keep the song moving, yet also keeping the underlying bed consistent to give the entire piece a sense of connection and unity. Beautiful guitar work. I love it especially around 8:00 where you have to guitar lines sort of dancing around each other, then bring in the bagpipes - awesome. (Sigur Ros is one of my favorite bands and I love the nod to them at the end.) Wonderful, wonderful work here Honza. The mixing is perfect and the composition is gorgeous. Thank you for the generous download.

wow
what a nice comment ... it is funny, the last part was a motive that I kept in a library with my guitar ideas and loops and it came to my mind when working on this song and fit perfectly well with the two guitar melodies that appear earlier. It is always good to remember musical ideas no matter how insignificant they maight seem ... you never know for what reasons you maight use them. Thanks again for listening and comment!

Very lush
Beautiful composition. Ten minutes went by very quickly indeed. Mix is top-notch imo. I love the pipe sound that come in around six minutes. I'd bring that to the front a bit more, but then I like pipe sounds! I agree with Drak, maybe a tad too much high squeaking stuff towards the end that you could eq out - it's probably just on one track and shouldn't be too difficult to isolate.

Really nice music, all the same.

Epic creation!
Congratulations on creating such an ambitious and epic piece! I agree with other commenters that this doesn't feel long at all--it balances the consistency of mood with the feeling of movement beautifully. Some fine musicianship and writing in here without ever becoming showy or cliched...

Around the world...
and back again...I LOVE LOVE LOVE the guitar parts. A little bit electric, a little bit acoustic (Kinda like adult Craig Chaquico new age/jazz flavor to it), and a whole lot of nice, thick, rich, juicy guitar in it

the transitions give it an overture feel to it

Well done!!!

Around the World
Wow, really clean & precise picking. Every note has it's place and a reason for being there. The variations on the central theme keep things really interesting, and are all the more impressive done as live guitar.
The lush synth pads mesh well with the guitar tracks. Great job!

So Much! So Good!
Love the bluesy electric guitar tone, phrasing, and the melodies you play. Great acoustic/electric sound as well. Nice dynamic build at about 3:40. More tasteful guitar playing. Bongos, nice. 5:38 great new feel. Love the palm muted guitar. Tasteful choice of synth pads and leads. 11:24 well spent.

Great flow
Really nice piece of work. It has a magnificent flow, and the mix is elaborate without getting messy.

My only comment is about the drums: the toms are a bit light, and the bass drum is almost not there. I would use some deeper sounds.

Hi Honzo!
Really good piece!! Great for relax, it is inspirating, it helps for imagination!
