Description
My wife and I just finished a large remodeling job and I wanted to write a song for her for Christmas. This is my first attempt with Garage Band.

Lyrics
Take a swing...
Dry-wall starts to hit the floor...
Everything, is different now than it was before
When I fail to see your vision no matter how I try
I learn to trust in your decisions and slowly step aside

(chorus)
Baby I trust you
I put my life in your hands
you helped me tear down my walls
you made me a better man
and I know I will not fall
if you help me to stand
baby I trust you. baby I trust you.

You have a vision locked inside that only you can see.
You opened up a paradise when you turned the key
and I will be with you in this heaven for all eternity.
You're my love, you amaze me, I praise you for all that you are.

*(repeat chorus)

Good Song
Firstly, good track. You've got some nice melodies going,
especially during the chorus. I've got two suggestions for
you to take or leave. One is the vocals have a lot of fx on
them. I'd tone them down. There's some strange phasing
going on, and I'm not sure if it's a chorus effect or if it's a
result of lots of delay, but I'd tone down the fx on the
vocals. I would not eliminate the fx - I'd leave a little
reverb and a little delay. The other thing is that I'd
harmonize the first line of the chorus ("Baby I Trust You.")
The harmony sounds really good when you kick it in, so I
wouldn't wait... I'd put it right in on the first line. Good
song.

Thank you
Thanks.

I'm not that confident in my singing voice, so I added a bit
more fx to try and compensate. I only have the built-in
mic on my iMac to work with, so it tends to pick up the
slight whir of the hard drive. I'll try laying a harmony
vocal over the "Baby I trust you" part.

Thanks again for the input. Any other tips would be
great. I'm not very good at getting the right volume
levels. I hear some of the songs on these forums and they
sound louder or more full than mine.
