Description
I decided to sit down and make a piece of music, and finish it, without stopping. It took me 6 hours, but I did it.

This is the result. I put it in film scoring because i kind of felt as I was writing it, that I was making music for a film. It's a simple piece that I really enjoyed putting together. Thanks for listening! I'd love to hear any feedback on it.

Cool work here...
Great dynamics on the trumpet/trombone, and love the pairing of melody/harmony. The whistle is good too, except that because of it not being panned away from the trumpet, or same octave/notes, it sort of got lost... except for the occasional bent note that stuck out. Sort of an ominous feel to this, I like it!

Re: Drakonis
Thanks! I'm very glad you like the melody and harmony. Good point on the whistle. I might play around with the mix of this piece, to give each instrument it's own space a little more. Glad you got the ominous feel! :)

Re: Alannah
Lee Van Cleef? Sweet. :) Thanks so much! I love the brass too. I was just so blown away by the realism of the trumpet, I just had to use it.

very talented
Love this. Each new instrument is unexpected, some combinations even unusual, but everthing here works and creates an atmosphere so pregnant with tragedy, you can almost here the solitary gunshot cutting through the thin hot air.
I like how you handle the brass instruments, but felt that the flute towards the end was a bit lost - if it's there it should almost be given its own spot to shine, maybe without the percussion. That'll also give you a chance to change it the structure and add a minute or two. Just an idea, but this was fun to listen to, you're obviously inspired, talented and know how to pick intriguing samples:)

Re: Parichayaka
Thanks. It's great to hear you really felt the tragedy in this piece. As composer, I can rarely feel the emotion of my own work. I often think I can partly attribute that to my skills as a composer. So it's good to hear this kind of compliment. :)

Good point about the flute; you're right. If I were to go back and change this, I would make the flute have more of it's own space. Thanks for the suggestions, and feedback!
