The Evolution of Ember (An Ember Rekindled Mix)

Description
This is one of my mixes of Ember Rekindled, put together with the MIDI files from Drakonis. I've made twenty or so mixes with various arrangements and may never (now) finish any, so I thought I'd upload an odd one or two over the next little while.

Everything is wrong about the piece, so I would normally have placed this in the Experimental genre, but I'm adhering to the Collaboration label, hence its current label.

It is not the best I can do but it may be all I will do.

I'm open to thoughts and comments, as always.

Thank you Eduard for so promptly sending me your files when I asked, so long ago.

Brazen Embers
Paul! How fun to know you have been cooking with Ember all this time... sounds like you have stoked a bonfire with them! This one feels white-hot, that lead sawtooth commands attention, although its harshness actually contrasts really well with the much softer middle section lead instrument (but glowing with its own edges of colorful distortion). I look forward to some of your other experiments with Ember too as you have time to set them free.

Hi Eduard......
I have manipulated and arranged instruments using your MIDI files many times and have never really finished any one mix. There is so much that I hear and want to put in, such as a four part choir, variations on the original theme, etc., etc.. I fear though that I will not work on this any more, as I no longer focus on music production as I did up to the end of 2009.

I will, however, upload others as I come across them on my many hard drives.

I am so relieved that you didn't think this mix was an abomination of sounds!!

Take care.

Paul

love the embers
So many directions this can be taken. An elegant treatment of this Reinholt. A special place indeed. Should be made into it's own genre.

Hi....
You are correct. The variations in arrangement that came upon me whilst focused on music creation were overwhelming. I managed 20 or so mixes when focused, and will upload others as and when I find them.

Take care.

Hi......
I wasn't happy with this mix at all but, out of the four I came across, this had the best overall blend and contrasting sounds. Other mixes will be different although keeping as near to the original notes that Eduard composed many moons ago but differing simply in arrangement, but my arranging them my way adds colour not visible in the original theme but also not bleeding into and obscuring these original colours.

Take care.

oh how I love the embers .......
..... this one may go down in time as being the "most remixes of one song ever" .... love your bold brazen brass version .... I like the idea that you are going to do more versions .... I still am in awe of how each person puts their own spin on this number ... (myself I have done two) .....

Hi Alannah......
I don't usually do remixes but as almost eveeryone has done a remix of this I jumped in a while ago but only relatively recently uploaded one version.

I enjoyed your versions too.

May there be many more versions from everyone.

Take care.
