Description:
over the holidays my friend has helped me to understand the mastering process better and we took eight of my songs and did some mastering to them . mostly eq and warmth with some bumping out the extra head room. my first mixes sounded muddy on his flat speakers so i am re posting them as v.2. let me know if they sound better to you and thanks so much for all of your comments over the past few months.

Lyrics:
maybe, maybe im in trouble, maybe there is someone out there that is mad at me. i know that when i see it in your eyes when i here it in your crys your in trouble too , ... people are all the same it doesnt matter somehow we learn to blame its just blabber people are all the same in trouble sometime nobody cares how you feel and you get so angry at me sometimes i fine it hard to express its just the way that i see troubles like a train on a bueatifuull day, you can see it coming for miles you can stand or get out of the way...... people are all the same it doesnt matter somehow we learn to blame its just blabber people are all the same in trouble
tell myself we are lucky ya lucky for me and you ya lucky i dont understand it some times it works it just what it do, some times its all about change and change is all we can do, trouble are just rearanged as if they were something new.

Can't get enough People. &mdash 01/03/05 - 10:18:01 AM
Still one of my favorite songs on the site...catch myself singing this all the time. There are aspects of the new mix/master that I like...but there's an "airy" noise over the whole thing...not sure where that's coming from. Still...love it.

i really like the stream of consciousness and
conversationality in the lyrics, the uncertainty in some and
certainty in other parts of your delivery; and the hushed
way you deliver the words. this is a great contemporary
country, absolutely pro solid construction, approachability
and message. (the fairly random use of toms. cymblas
and the cow bell maybe don't add what you are looking
for, tho. especially that cowbell after "people are all the
same" which has a comical feel that doesn't work in this,
for me.) Nice use of piano, very understated and just
right. This is sad and sweet and honest and really classic.

before i start i have to thank you for your undieing generousity to every
one of the members here. when i first joined this site i was a little taken
back by the coments you would make but i have come to respect and
feel
honored be the teaching that you do. i dont know your level of
commiment to this site but you seem to be always there and you dont
miss a thing. with that said, first thank you for the recognition and
second, the cow bell, drum thing. part of what makes me good is also
what can make me leave things that are not in my plan. i like to write
stream of thought and i do that well. but i have a hard time going back. i
like the fact that there is some one out there that is holding me to a
higher standard. i will remove the drum part that is wrong to me and is
so clear to you. i am the kind of person that already knows but just
needs some one else to tell me. thank you so much for all that you do. i
know that this is a prevasive thing that runs through your whole life and
i am greatfull

Lovely &mdash 01/21/05 - 11:46:11 AM
This song is beautifully airy, washy and serene. A real comfort track, one that must have taken some finishing....

I would always feel vulnerable putting so much person and emotion in a song then putting it on a website to be reviewed and likely scorned by a load of people I didn't know, but thank god you did, because the result is truly top-notch.

Looking for perfect &mdash 01/23/05 - 07:45:20 AM
Sunday moring music and I found it. I've been spending
some time this cold, snowy morning re-listening to some
of my favorite songs on MJ and found this again...I love
the lyrics of this tune, especially the chorus. Great tune- I
like a lot of your music and look forward to the new!

missed this 1st time around &mdash 05/24/05 - 07:47:44 AM
but glad I caught it. Good tune. I agree with some of the
comments re: percussion, but overall an excellent,
heartfelt piece.

Brilliant &mdash 08/02/05 - 04:09:57 PM
A great song with brilliant lyrics. "Troubles like a train on
a beautifull day, you can see it coming for miles you can
stand or get out of the way" is profound. I also like how
the detuned quality to the song fits with the lyrics. I find
this song going through my head at times.
