Description:
I have developed the opening notes, added a new note, and incorporated some strings which try to get away, are picked up by the woodwinds, and tossed to the curb like a dirty whore, which allows the opening to proceed. Also made a certainote near the end more visible.

"Ebony and Ivory" to figure out the two chords this whole bit is based on.

Thanks for the kind words.

I am going to refine this even further. There are parts
were the the flutes gets a bit uppity.

I'm glad you are going to refining this. Right now, I think
you have a good base for a piece. I do think you need to
deviate from the theme in the middle - perhaps a minor
chord for a little while. Then back to the main theme at
the end ofr a feeling of resolution. You also might try
moving the bass more towards the center - but maybe
that's just my taste. Keep at it! (6-7-6-6)

Thanks for the kind words.

I have been so busy listening to everyone else's stuff in MacJams, that I have
neglected my own stuff! There's a lot of good stuff on this site.

A friend of mine just told me about scales. And the D sharp major chord has
5 whole other notes that I can use to make a scale.

I was pretty jazzed about that. Instead of the three notes I had been using, I
now get five notes to play around with. I plan on working them into this to
hopefully provide a more interesting melody.

As for the bass, I wanted them to move from speaker to speaker a bit. This is
hard to do in GB because there's no curve for panning, only volume. So I had
to have two tracks playing the same thing and then adjust the volume curve
to make it seem like the sound is panning. It doesn't work very well.

Thanks. I will check them out.

I used to do all this sequencing by hand using the pencil tool in GarageBand,
using some of the loops for effects. Recently I have started learning how to play
the piano and read music. It's pretty fun.

I blame it all on GarageBand.
