Description
A month or two ago Char (as Demeter7) was having a problem with GarageBand and I was able to help her. As a reward she visited all my posts and left lovely comments on them. I sent her a private message asking her if she didn't have better things to do, which she didn't, so I sent her this odd hybrid I'd created and asked her if she could add anything to it. (It's odd, to me, in that it has reggae organ and bass lines (loops), a somewhat busy percussion section (also loops but several quantized variations), and a sad sort-of-European melody (MIDI from my keyboard): hey, I just combine these things and some of them sound good ;-)
Anyway, Char sent back an angst-ridden track of lost love that sounded great. We tweaked the lyrics a little, she sent me another couple of takes, I arranged all the bits and pieces, and here we are. This is my first "real" collaboration. Char's an old hand at it by now, so her part sounds great. I'm happy with the result but I'm curious to know how you feel.
