I heard Dan Timmerman's lovely song a few days ago and it kind of hypnotised me

I asked if he would let me try to do something with the music and he graciously obliged
The first thing I realised when I started to deconstruct the piece was that the original was extremely well put together and I had real trouble trying to do anything differently. After a number of trial mixes, none of which were as good as the original I decided to try a different tack - one of subtraction and one of emphasising the subtle and fragile elements that were already there
So, in my version, the drums are gone (reluctantly) and I sampled Dan's voice, using it as an atmospheric pad at different points during the song. I also decided to arrange other elements including the vocal harmonies and the guitar and bass parts - building them up as the song develops. I added some other atmospheres of my own and some very subtle glitch....
Dan - I hope you like this version...I think it is a great song and you have a great talent for melody and songwriting
