Description
This song is about feeling stagnant while everything in the world rushes by. I'm still tweaking the lyrics, but I thought I'd get some feedback on likes/dislikes.

Lyrics
Years ago they said I had potential/
But now my life seems so inconsequential/
This wasn’t my original intention/
How can I pick up and start again?/
Chorus:
Time flies in only one direction/
But I’m paralyzed at this intersection/
How can I be freed from my own inaction?/
How can I be more than what I am?/
How can I be more than what I am?/
How can I be more than what I am?/
Well I know I never will be famous./
At least I’m strong enough that I can say this./
I just want the chance to change my fate./
To rearrange what’s doled out on my plate.
But now my life seems so inconsequential/
This wasn’t my original intention/
How can I pick up and start again?/
Chorus:
Time flies in only one direction/
But I’m paralyzed at this intersection/
How can I be freed from my own inaction?/
How can I be more than what I am?/
How can I be more than what I am?/
How can I be more than what I am?/
Well I know I never will be famous./
At least I’m strong enough that I can say this./
I just want the chance to change my fate./
To rearrange what’s doled out on my plate.

The opening and the closing are akward but the middle
section sounds wonderful, especially when the backing
vocals enter. Somewhere along the way, the vocalist
should hold a note while the bass player slips into a funky
solo.
Some skat at the end might be a nice way to end things.
