Lyrics
I was layin' on the grass one very nice day
When a UFO came in my way
I climbed aboard and through a vortex--
I'm tellin' 'bout the tale of my trip to Planet "Ex"

Inside the ship I met the aliens
they looked like squids and they strangely liked buns
I met the commander and his name was "Flex"
I'm tellin' 'bout the tale of my trip to Planet "Ex"

When I finally came home the sun was set
then I saw my mom--she was really upset
She said, "You missed lunch, come inside."
And she gave me a grilled cheese sandwich on rye.

And then she asked, "how was your trip?"
She couldn't have known it made me flip?
And then I said, "how did you know?
And do you know what she said? She said,
"Honey, you must have been imagining things!"

Best MJ Post Ever
What a great song. What great lyrics. Jacob can sing. And with great expression. What a great father/son project. I hope we'll be hearing more from Jacob.

Engineer-dad
Parents... "we drives da car and writes da checks"... I'm exploited this way by my daughter on Macjams too, sigh, but OK I'll be truthful, it is great fun to help them create something amazing.

And look at Jacob, he did! This is great... love the lyrics, and perfect accompaniment, and the doo-wa chorus was beautiful. Congrats you two!

So the next song you two write should have the line "Calamari, Calamari, I'll love ya, Calamari..." :-)

ttfn,
Drakonis

Cantor!
This is great! Tell Jacob he's got a lot of talent. The bop bop doowah's were a perfect touch, too.

Congratulations to Master Jacob for a job well done (oh and you too Erik!). This was a real treat and I think Jacob could become the next Eddie Fisher at this rate!

A Star is discovered
Way to go Jacob. This is an excellent song you've put together my young friend. You can be proud of this one for sure.

My question is how did you get your dad to do the Doowohs so well. Did you use some kind of alien mind control you learned on Planet "Ex"

You have a future in music young man, and maybe in mind control too. ;-)

Excellent song and production !
