Description

A ballad using a loop. I tried cutting and restructuring, but I went back to simply repeating the thing. I know it is probably monotonous. Sorry about that. I got some neat effects..at least I think they're neat..got some tinkly stuff.
The lyrics were updated from something that never was picked up last January 9th.
I have no idea what genre this is. It does move along. Ah, well.

I am all screwed up time wise.
It is a kick not to have to wait for someone else to make music for me. I just want to let some of my lyrics get a chance. I threw out about 25 songs yesterday. The stack is still pretty tall. And I keep sending lyrics to people for their music. But, if not picked up, I just wait a bit and try to find something that will fit. It is really noisy during the day. Thank you for the compliments. Again, I wish it wouldn't be so repetitive, but I create awful sounds when I splice things. :)

	Nice There's nothing monotonous about it. I like the guitar loop with the synth loop. Interesting contrast of sounds. Very cool loop (pretty enough not to get too monotonous), and your singing/harmony here is great. The extra special sound effects (the floating flanging soft guitar) is WAY cool! You made sure to keep its volume down, so its perfect.. wow, you are learning all sorts of mixing tricks! Woohooooo!

	I don't know what the floating, flanging guitar is unless it is that piece that I cut out and doubled. I took a little piece and repeated it and used double filter and another piece became quarter pulse. Yeah, I knock things down one or two steps. I am just trying to hear how it sounds to me. 	Talent is trumped by ignorance and determination, in my case. The vocal is the only thing I have confidence in. I want my message heard. MUST bend music to my will. and it really isn't monotonous like you said it is.

Good song writing chops dear lady and what I can here of the vocal sounds very good. My only nit is that I feel the vocal should be up in the mix more so I can hear it better. But then again, this is the deaf guy talking, and one without a working hearing aid right now to boot.

It is one of your best efforts Char and shows how much more comfortable you are getting using the resources you have to get your songs heard. I'd say this is very well done, and I wouldn't be wrong about it either.

You go girl. It's so nice to see you growing into you music.

I can't hear either,
Ed. I do know that I sing way too loudly and so I knock the db down for recording and for playback. Yes, I have learned that the really good musicians just throw in the loop without a care and let it do its thing. I do try to mess with the loop but mostly those experiments don't work out real well. Who would've thought it. What a kick! Thank you. :)

	Levels.. that is pretty subjective but I do have things pulled down and moved to right and left. Mostly, I have to lower my vocal because I sing as if I were in a stadium. Just not a quiet singer. See, I
thought the song was worth while even if someone else didn't. And, I just go with instinct because there's no know how or training involved. It is nice to do whatever I want and not try to please anybody else. It is even nicer to be able to post and not be tar and feathered. I'm so grateful for all the kindness I'm shown. 	You can make some good music, however. You found a nice chord pattern to back your excellent lyrics. Another sad one. The swirling synth is strategically placed in the background, which gives a nice effect against the guitar. I could imagine adding a simple bass line to this to round out the frequency spectrum a little, but it works as is. Check out my latest song called UnerSpizm

I tried some stuff,
but discarded it. I don't think I tried a bass loop, though. I'll see if I can find something. It isn't easy when you don't know what you're doing... more misses than hits. I'm smiling because so many of you think I'm on the right track. Yeah, well..I'm a sad case, for sure. I just write what I feel. The synth sounds are pieces of the main loop, effected and repeated. No, swirling. Thank you for the support. :)

Char you did it great ! I agree with many, it's not monotonous. Multiple vocals worked great, the guitar loop is fantastic too.

This is a purely personal suggestion (and I might be wrong, it's always you get a second opinion), I would suggest maybe having your voice a little stronger in the mix, I got the impression the guitar loop overwhelmed it a little.

Ah, well,
this is probably the hardest thing to gauge. Yes, I know what you mean. Mostly, I try to back off because I've been told over and over that I was too loud. I think I listened to three different levels. I didn't bother anyone to listen, before I posted. I can always ask. And they can either accede or decline. Even here, the opinion is split. Tis a fine line, eh? Maybe, I'll get a bit better at these kind of adjustments. Long way to go. Thank you. :)

	Char Thsi is the point that you send it to an acoustic player and have them kind of work around the feel so that it is used as a template for a more original song.
