Great Stuff The images of the dead and dying pelicans are so haunting, such a sad scenario that you have captured here really well. Heads must roll for this ecological disaster and yes, let's hope it can all be cleared up. I really like pelicans, [and birds in general] but prefer them alive of course. My own homage [to the living ones] can be found here: http://www.macjams.com/song/60225 I made this one before the oil leak. Anyway, after that shameless self promotion, let me say you tune is very touching. Maybe we should all collectively do a massive MacJams collaboration in protest of this catastrophe. Speaking for, those of us who share our region with the pelicans I want to say thanks for such a touching piece capturing the suffering of so many gulf coast creatures. I drove over the Skyway Bridge last night and saw several of ours, which are to this point untouched by the calamity in the gulf. I'm sure I'm not alone as seeing them differently as a result of the spill. They're more than birds who live here. They're ours and our responsibility. We need to learn to treat the habitats of all plants and animals with more respect. This piece captures their pain caused by the sins of man. greed and selfish desire Have caused a parent to lose her children. Hundreds. Thousands. Now millions of lives lost. It is almost enough to make us do something about it. Elegant lament here... the chords were compelling, but the hard, clean drum sound really hit home. ttfn, Drakonis Check out my latest song called Belle Aire (for Mandolin Orchestra)

The animals and plant life are being choked by a man-made disaster. We are their scourge. Vic, this is a soliloquy and a call to action. You have chosen drums like a death knell and plaintive instrumentation that elicit sorrow and guilt and shame. Oh my, when will we learn. Thank you, Vic. Check out my latest song called The Sea

touching song I think you did a good job translating the tragedy to music. I like the orchestral funeral march implementation. Very heavy handed but applicable here. Good use of the oboe..but I sense there is some hope as major chores poke their heads in occasionally. Check out my latest song called Meloncholy Popstar

Very well done and powerful. I personally like the first minute and a half (prior to the voices) best. Would this be considered an adagio? Check out my latest song called She's One Of The Walking Dead

--- i sure like your intros. wow - that slow heart beat of a drum is perfect. i like your use of sustained chords - they fit beautifully here. definitely a sense of loss, of descent into the dark. the strings at the 3 minute mark are achingly poignant. very good piece, anne Check out my latest song called UNIVERSAL SONG w Astronomusic & 24 Soloists

This has your Native American signature right from the beginning. They say a picture is worth a thousand words...well man - I hear ya. We all feel the pain I'm sure. We all hope they get a solution for the oil spill-F__up soon.
Your music along with your choice of pic make a very dynamic song.
Nice work - Enjoyed - Thanks for sharing,
