Description:
This would actually be the first song I completed in Logic Express, although it started way back when in GarageBand. So, it became a kind of project in LE that was then passed to Chikoppi for mixing and production. This is also the first track I've used my shiny new PODxt on. A little bit of the ultra-violence from the minds of PoS and Chikoppi.

Lyrics:
I think it's time I had a fix,
Violate to get my kicks,

I just want to make you bleed,
Don't take it so personally

Watch the stormy clouds chase,
As I'm bashing in your face.

Take my pleasure in your pain
Paint your blood upon my cane

I'm not one for chivalry,
I prefer the rivalry.

Marking up my boundaries,
What did you expect from me?

Take my droogies out to play,
In a murderous ballet.

Lashing out and breaking out,
Turns my frown upside down.

My patience is wearing thin,
Give yourself and take me in,

Don't tell me the thing you fear,
I know it is me, my dear.

Thrust my sabre to the hilt,
Lacking any thought of guilt

Now it's time for just a bit
of the ultra-violence

Energy expenditure,
Takes a load off that's for sure.

A hard day's work deserves its rest,
Drink my comfort from her breast.

Am I certifiable,
Anything is possible.

Order up my discipline,
Living out the worst sin.

It makes all the sense when I'm feeling kinda' tense,
Just a bit of the ultra-violence.

Time for some offense gonna' gather up my friends,
For a bit of the ultra-violence.

Issues with intro &mdash 01/05/05 - 04:46:56 AM
I thought the end of the intro was a little abrupt matbe a
fade from intro to verse would have been less jaring.
Other than that great song, very reminiscent of NIN. I thik
you've seen Clockwork Orange a few too many times ;>

Well, you know...
You're a fine young мальчик.
Oy!

Agree about the intro though.

Then a bit of the old... &mdash 01/05/05 - 03:10:43 PM
Interesting, the intro is actually supposed to be rather jarring. However, as I
got two disagreements, perhaps the intro needs to be even more jarring... not
enough of a slap in the face, heheh! :P

Yeah, Like songs in 5 &mdash 01/05/05 - 02:02:39 PM
Reminded me a bit of Marilyn Manson. Visually as well as
musically.

Interesting.

this isn't generally the type of music i enjoy, but this song
in the context of book works well. good stuff.

I like &mdash 01/06/05 - 04:57:39 AM
the dissonant and hardeness of this track.
Well arranged and produced with Packos vocals really
taking a strong lead here. excellent chorus.
I like Chikkopis vocals as a contrast. Incredible layers of
sound mixed in well and despite the explicit content, this
is really a great track.

awesome. &mdash 01/06/05 - 05:30:41 AM
Best industrial track I've listened to on here IMO.

Really nice job with the vocals... I like all the changeups
you do with the drums as well. The synths couldn't be
more perfect. This is soundtrack material.

I can see what some people are saying about the intro,
maybe changing into the song a bit quick, but I wouldn't
change it... It doesn't bother me, I think it sounds good.

Lacking any thought of guilt &mdash 01/06/05 - 05:41:11 AM
This song makes me want to hit someone, or at least use
bad language.

Strong throughout.

great sound &mdash 01/06/05 - 12:12:36 PM
i really like the intro, the organized randomness, the promise of power. the replacing groove is a little like a video game, thinner, and i was sad the intro dropped out. but then i got into the groove and didn't miss it. the violence of the passing sounds and noise works really well. i wanted more guitars, don't know why. i really like the back and forth conversation, and the distorted chorus, the use of vocals. i like the jarring intro and wished you'd worked in back in. maybe too robotic for me for the length (hit about the solo toward end), but maybe just too angry. i still have Christmas in my ears. very good production and i love all the sonic details.

A Note &mdash 01/06/05 - 04:25:40 PM
I wanted to drop in and say that this was pretty much entirely Packo's doing. All I did was fiddle with a few knobs a bit in the end. I thought it worth mentioning because SGF mistakenly attributed some of the vocals to me in an earlier comment...but I think that was a result of the effects disguising Packo's vocal qualities!

sophisticated &mdash 01/08/05 - 10:56:06 AM
This is a very well-conceived, produced and performed
track. There is a wide variety of elements to hold the
listener's interest.

I agree that the intro doesn't flow well into the next
section, somehow. Either make it more jarring or less so.

The distortion effects work well in this track. At first I
thought it was going to be too much but as the song
progressed, the distortion ended up fitting perfectly.

Good vocals, inventive rhythms. Excellent job!

Cool &mdash 01/11/05 - 10:09:08 AM
Sounds like you two known each other for a long, long
time ago.
I like how you use the effectors.

Again? &mdash 01/13/05 - 01:05:19 PM
Yes, I commented on this in the past. This version is very
clear and open. An improvement all around except that
the chorus vox are a bit on the shrill side.

Move on to something new!

this one MUST be for the guys!! &mdash 01/13/05 - 04:23:15 PM
great edginess, with some very flavorful sounds in
there. there is a sense of familiarity-like parts & pieces of
your other songs naturally lead to this. i like the little
piano accents in there. clearly one of your best yet-great
stuff guys

if i had to wish for something further, it would be a really
off-kilter, effect-laden, angst-ridden moment or two to
compliment the screaming vox

Arr, aggro goodness! &mdash 01/17/05 - 12:44:23 PM
Yeay! You posted this song. I'm glad to see you finally
finished it. I loved it then and I love it now.

My only comment might be the mastering, but I need to
listen to it on some better speakers first.

Back from listening to "Orange" &mdash 02/23/05 - 01:00:35 AM
One thing I wanted to make a note of...
Every time I thought, "it'd be really cool if they had
something like this come in next." Thinking of the little
synth stabs. It was there.

Get out of my head... ; )
