Description
I originally recorded and uploaded this song in 2006. It was in large part inspired by a song that Ed Hannifin aka Ejh had posted called Please Don't Call, a really good song... be sure to listen to it. Describing his song, Ed wrote: " This is/was my bid for something like the folk/bluegrass inflected pop that you'd find on Rubber Soul or some Buffalo Springfield tunes. Inspired by a girlfriend who wasn't at all sure that she actually wanted me, but was not about to let me go..." You gotta love that! Any way...
Well, But I Will is/was my bid to sound something like Ed.
New to this 2010 version is the lead vocal, acoustic rhythm guitar, bass, and slide guitar. The harmonica, vocal harmonies, and guitar solo riffs are from the original.
This may be my personal favorite... it's a loose, feel-good vibe. Hope you enjoy it.

Lyrics
But I Will
1.
Woke up this morning, you were on my mind.
Whenever I'm alone this happens all the time.
Drank my coffee, then drank some wine.
It was too late for things I still hoped to find.
Refrain:
Don't know why I'm feeling so blue.
I can't seem to get over you
Cant' go on
Can't go on
But I will.
2.
Another time, another place
Seems like I always see your pretty face.
Wondering why this is the case
As in my memory the thoughts of you I trace.
Refrain
Instrumental
3.
Funny thing about this life
Just when things are working, along comes some strife.
Without a warning it cuts your like a knife
Then the next day everything is all right.
Refrain
4.
Back at home as I fix my evening meal
I'm still wondering what broke the deal.
You probably think I was such a heel.
But you know you're not the only one who can feel.
Refrain

What other choice do we have? Good song. I can't think of a better place to find inspiration than Rubber Soul.
