I love the chord changes and that full and bright guitar sound. What a great vocal! Sweet bridge. A guitar and a vocal! What more do you need when you have a great song?

guitar
Two things I would recommend for any acoustic guitar: Brass bridge pins and elixir strings. They improved the sound of my cheap guitar dramatically. Thanks for the listen.

your vocals
are standout. i had to listen at a loud volume with headphones to hear all the character though. worth the trouble but imo your voice is worth springing for a good mic. i like the traditional ballad structure of this, the way you phrase the lyrics, especially the way you manipulate the volume of your voice (i'd like to hear the guitar match it - the volume of the guitar is pretty much consistent the entire tune). anyway good song. the only way to make a straight ahead ballad any good is to put some heart into it and you've succeeded at that for sure, enjoyed it dude.

My ears
aren't to be trusted so a mix is kind if a crap shoot. I tried to be kind of controlled in the performance because its a one take thing, and I can't really mix vocal independent of guitar with out some really tedious process. I wish I could write a ballad because I love ballads, but I'm afraid I don't have the patience or talent to write one. thanks for the listen and the detailed analysis. Regards

Your vocal sounds great. Lots of restrained energy and emotion. Love the progression and the guitar backing sounds warm and full.
Instant fav
