Cat Mama Blues (With Roxylee, Davisamerica, Awigze, Feter)

Get Flash to see this player.

Description
Another ancient DA tune. We're not sure when we wrote this. We tried carbon dating, but that's only accurate within a 500 year margin. Andy's (Awigze) on the harmonica, Roxy (Roxylee)is on harmony alng with Jack (Davisamerica), Feter is on lead guitar. These guys did a wonderful job! We all took turns walking the cat, and I urge you not to try this at home. (Remember Pinky, the cat?)

Lyrics
Cat Mama Blues

Well I never got a chance to say goodbye
Coz a passing thought stopped by to tell me why

Your number is busy whenever I start to call
You’ve got me on a ledge, and I’m ready for a fall

Like a bird on chicken wire, or like a fox at bay
You can’t expect my shadow to darken your steps all day

So when they stop to tell you, please be kind
Remember that I had you. Were you mine?

You can take it easy, or you can take it hard.
You can take the cat out for a walk
You can take the cat out for a walk

Great singing with my good friend Jack, and I can't imagine trying this without Roxy. Kinda struggled with the guitar here and there, but Jack's creative mixing saved me. Thanks Andrew. T

Some great sounds from this all-star band. Love the vocs/harmonies, Andy taking a break from the sax sounding great on the harp, good to hear Feter again on something new. Mix sounds fabulous.

Terrific
I think it's awesome when a collab with multiple people turns out to sound so great! Not always easy, so special kudos to the mixer.

Lovely voices, blended so well together. Instruments sounded perfect as well, super-duper job everyone!

Jack is the magic mixer here. Who knows how he does it? He's as secretive as Houdini. I was very blessed to have this group on this. All are very talented, and each has added something special. Thanks for the kind words. Terry

well i must say terry "Thanks" for letting this one be revived. Very quirky lyrics and odd... they were written when you had found love and i was trying to get loose from something not lovely at all. so it goes.... Roxy...you are an angel that sings ...andy the harp is perfect... feter quitar is just amazing .... and mr. pearson ...man it has always been a good trip with you.

Pinky the Cat
was downright scary, but this sone was a delight to hear. You and Jack are superb songwriters and vocalists,, and I am always honored to be asked to add some bgv's. Andy plays the harp outstandingly, and Feter's lead guitar is just right. I like the dog and cat sounds, too.

Glad you're enjoying our stuff jd
Yes, these people amaze me. They're great. As for the lyric length, I've been pulling out a lot of our (Jack's and my) old compositions, written in a time when our attention spans weren't really shorter, but just unnecessary. (A lot could be read into "ya know?") And then in our twilight years we tend to become a little more garrulous. Sometimes you can't shut me up. Thanks for the comments. Hope we can keep you listening. Terry
