Description

I really scoured the Internet and did my homework to make ABSOLUTELY SURE "Simple Gifts" was in the public domain! By all accounts (even the U.S. Copyright website) it is. I have always loved that song, and so I decided to tweak this former post a little bit and add one verse of "Simple Gifts" to the middle. Besides, I hated that stupid Nordic Fiddle loop I put in the former version. The only thing is, GB dropped some of the notes, even though I'm quite sure I wrote them in the score. Hmmmm. The phantom notes. Anyways, they're SUPPOSED to be there (in the electric synth software instrument) but they're not. Still a work-in-progress, in any case. :)

	Abundant ... ... and groovy. Amazing how you connect all the parts from the minimalistic start throuh some heavy beats with nice bridge to the old traditional. New Age ElectroPop version of this timeless classic... which shows that (1) Some tunes are ageless and (2) in the right composer's hands, they can blossom again, many decades later. Excellent work and choice of synths (also reminds me a bit of Disney's Electric Parade music.) Very upbeat and bouncy. You have some nice writing in there. I would add a little ending cadence, just hold the last low bouncy synth note and have some other voice do a "Deee... Da da da!" over that note... simple. Love it!

Definitely scoring--I don't have a keyboard. I could, theoretically, use my computer keyboard but it sucks. Usually I just play one or two notes in order to give myself something to score, and then type in the rest. I will be playing when I'm able to get my hands on a real keyboard.
