Description
This song was written for a multi-media presentation about local families that hosted students from China and Japan on a visit to America. The families had a great experience, and wanted to encourage others to become host families (what better way to build relationships and understanding in our fragile world?). The vocal performances included: Rose & Yvette Quintana, Jhon, Jody & Laura Evans (Laura is also featured on violin), guitar and midi additions by Tom Evans.

Lyrics
Have you ever heard the preacher praying
About a world that’s needing just to see?
Have you ever thought about the people far away
Like far away is where they’ll always be?
Have you ever thought you’d like to see the world
And travel to exotic foreign lands?
To give a cup of water to a stranger
Speaking in a language you don’t understand.
Then one day there comes a way
To see the world like you never have before.
Another land, fed by your hand
God’s love in you goes around the world
When the world steps in your door.
Then one day there comes a way
To see the world like you never have before.
Another land, fed by your hand,
And what was once a strangers face
Is someone dear to you
The world becomes a smaller place
When the world comes to you.
About a world that’s needing just to see?
Have you ever thought about the people far away
Like far away is where they’ll always be?
Have you ever thought you’d like to see the world
And travel to exotic foreign lands?
To give a cup of water to a stranger
Speaking in a language you don’t understand.
Then one day there comes a way
To see the world like you never have before.
Another land, fed by your hand
God’s love in you goes around the world
When the world steps in your door.
Then one day there comes a way
To see the world like you never have before.
Another land, fed by your hand,
And what was once a strangers face
Is someone dear to you
The world becomes a smaller place
When the world comes to you.

Music with a message. Nice vocals ladies! I like the subtle samba feel in the guitar. The violins fit like a warm pair of gloves.
