Description
Here's one more of my instrumental snippets that I upload for sale to istockphoto.com. I put up one of these here earlier on : http://www.macjams.com/song/58523

And here's what I then jotted down about this project of mine:

--- quote ----
I've been using istockphoto.com for a while, both as a graphic designer that buys images there, but I've also uploaded my own photo's for sale there. Not too much money to make if you're not hitting bulls eye or if you're not uploading quite a large amount of pictures/illustrations.

Lately they have started to offer music in addition to images, videos and illustrations. I had to give it a try, and made a few instrumental recordings that I put up... I didn't give it so much thought, and forgot about my uploads for a while... just to discover that my account suddenly, during a couple of months had US 300 earned from the few pieces of music...

I thought I'd share this thought with you guys, 'cause I think many of you could be interested in uploading stuff yourselves. It could be music, or just sounds, ambience and such... People buy it to use in presentations and stuff. I think I'm going to keep making short instrumentals aimed for upload there... maybe one a month or so. Pretty nice to do simple recordings at home and be able to make a few bucks of it as well;)

PS! I'm not enabling D/L on this one since I'm also putting this out for sale at that place...;)

--- quote ----

About this song:
I recently exchanged the pickups from classic 57's to Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P90's, on one of my guitars, a Washburn HB35, which is a Gibson ES335 clone, and thought it sounded pretty naughty. So I recorded this little instrumental to try it out a bit.

Gosh Thor, it feels like you're playing right onto my eardrum. This sounds so crispy clear and pure. Sweet combination of steel string and electric. Professionally I've been using iStock as well. I'm should definitely check out the musictunes section over there...

Of course I love the lead work. But I really dig the fingerpicked acoustic. Two tasteful performances that taste great together.

Lots of beauty and mood
After reading the Description pre-listen (as I always do), I found myself wondering "what kind of music would do well on istockphoto". I figured it would be a pretty narrow band of stuff.

Then I listened to "What u said". I could think of a bunch of uses for this one, from TV commercial to movie soundtrack. It all stems from the contemplative but playful interaction between the two guitars and it is enhanced by the brilliance, clarity and simplicity of the recording.

All you need to do now is update your Description and include a link to this song's location on istockphoto so we can follow along. Thanks for letting us have a listen!

Oh, yeah - and I'm with Moviz about the lighting in your pic: how'd you get the sun to sit just so?

Distilled essence...
...of acoustic-electric thoddi....

Neatly sparkly tone on the electric.... a nice singing tone, but with that sparkle on the top that isn't harsh or jagged... Nice blending of the acoustic and electric elements, too...

The simple recording allows focus to stay on one of your great strengths, your phrasing, and your feel....

Hello Thor
as i head back to my old friend, i was thinking i could use a taste of the old thoddi (there was a vocal song about being a good man etc i must look for it)

but this acoustic so clear by the way, and electic duo is just what i needed its like u know what the Dr ordered and can fill the per-script.
any way this tune is a great find and i
again am happy u r here
u r an inspiration
peace
