Description
I first got a message from Jim Bouchard in June of '09 asking if I would add sax on a song he was working on saying, "It's just a doodle right now, but I was sort of thinking of a Weather Report "Black Market" era sort of thing and this is the closest I could get." We worked on it off and on for a couple of months and it was uploaded around October or November of that year. Jim has recently 'retired' from Macjams for a while but I asked him if it would be ok to post it on my site. He graciously say yes. There is also a version of this on Boundless' site http://www.macjams.com/artist/Boundless
Jim said this about this song as well, "The ambience in the background was from an old recording I did of my son Maurice who was probably 8 or 9 at the time was playing checkers with my dear departed father-in-law Arthur S. Tamkin, Ph.d They really enjoyed playing games and checkers was one of them. I captured this audio with a Sony minidisk and a little stereo mic, and this is one of the few audio recordings I have of my father-in-law, who was a brilliant man and a great story teller who died sort of suddenly a couple years ago.
regards,
Jim
Jim recorded, bass, mandolin, keyboard, wrote and produced.
My contribution to this song was, Sax, turtle shell, Dumbek, Ashica, hands
Many thanks to Jim.
Enjoy
