in certain moods and at certain times i play so softly that my computer barely registers the midi signal. this was one of those times, where I was just so into the music that I was barely touching the keys. lol...i had to triple the track and boost the master volume just to get it audible. thanks DL. muffled interesting. that is a common comment on my pieces and I just don't hear the muffled-ness. it's the JP steinway without any tweaking what-so-ever. i was surprised at how natural it sounded - but I stayed in a pretty safe range of notes as well. anyway, thank you as always dragon. Magical - full of space I am having a little laugh. I just finished commenting on your "Tempest" having meant to hop on over to your page and listen to some of your tracks for some time. Then I discover immediately after posting my comment on your page that you have been doing the same. I love synchronicity. I also love the space and rest you create in Sunset. I noted your comment about doing this in Gb. Sometimes using a key we are less familiar with can create an opening for something new. G-flat... is actually my FAVORITE key. You just have to remember the Cb, Shay. Such a mellow improv you have done here. Very very peaceful, thoughtful. I agree with a few comments about the muffled quality of the piano. However, for this particular number, I think it works very well. If anything, I'd suggest just a touch of reverb to help it shimmer a little. ... My only real complaint about this piece is that it is awfully short. I could use another two minutes of solitude.
