Description
The Story:
Threw the late 90's and early 2000's a serial killer stalked and killed 26 prostitutes in Vancouver. He was a pig farmer and fed the remains of his victims to his swine. He was arrested and convicted and is serving life.
Recently a memorial was held for the victims both those known and unknown, I gave this piece to the organizers to play at the evening service which was held out doors in a park on the down town east side, the place where many of these women ply there trade.

The piece was played at the end of the memorial in remembrance of these lost souls..it was an emotional time for all in attendance, about 800 attended as the piece rang loudly threw the P.A. a weird return echo came back which further made the scene gut wrenching.

No matter what happens in life no one deserves the brutality that was inflicted on these souls

This was my dedication to Lost Souls..

Lament
sigh .... i remember these events so well, being just a bit south of you (but in the states) - what an awful time! this piece captures the grief and tragedy while also being somehow uplifting and hopeful. what a cool story about how it was played for the memorial attendees Dave - what a wonderful tribute!

Good music for the memorial, Dave
The pity is that there should have to even be a memorial. I've never understood the mind of someone who would be able to do what this guy did.

You did good my friend,

Ed

well presented
Majestic, thoughtful, tender, powerful, very well done. What a touching composition to try to heal a horrific set of crimes. Sigh.
