"The Others" by Icefield
Great prog rock. Love the guitars, bass, drums......uh......everything. Great production and mix. Love the heaviness at 2:29. Welcome to MacJams!

Well, damn. What a great piece of originality this is. Just my kinda thing, except I'm not accomplished enough to pull this off. Who or what is Icefield? Is this a cover? Anyway, I love the sound of everything, just in terms of sonic quality. But more than that, I think this composition is fantastic. I love the patience of it. And the PT chug section... ah, that's the thing. So very very cool. Welcome to MJ. More, please.

Mellow, BLAMMO! and mellow again.
Neat lead tone and runs. Tone-wise you've got a touch of Santana sustain proportions, and some of the jazz Allah side of Jerry Garcia and then WHAM! When you break metallic, the whole thing gels, dynamically, for me. Bass sounds great, too. Deep vibe throughout for a great trip, capped by those especially tasty, subtle chorale/strings at the end. Glad I stopped by!

I've always loved music. I come from a musical family In fact one of my earliest memories is my dad playing the guitar in the bathroom because of the acoustics, and me, a 5 year old kid, sitting there on the floor taking it all in. Certain people ... [see more]
