Description

This is a cleaned, edited, mixed version of a song I posted a few months ago: http://www.macjams.com/song/59685. I got a number of helpful suggestions and comments on the earlier version, which I tried faithfully to incorporate.

Michael, I always look forward to hearing whatever you have for us to listen to--you do such fine work. This was a very powerful song: you deliver and sell your message in a very captivating manner with all the good musicianship you poured into this--in other hands, this could have been a bit hard to take. Excellent work--flawless.

Great drum intro, nice clear acoustic--I'm gonna stop writing and LISTEN!

...Oh, yeah, Michael, you're right "there" with a great lyric; a progression those twin guitars serve perfectly, and a great arrangement from the perfect little piano notes to the "build," layer upon subtly mixed layer. Your vocal timbre is all your own, but you've got great presence along the lines of the seasoned (but sadly underrated) great Steve Forbert.

ahh yeah - targeted brief dissonance at :26 opens the tap to my attention - even while they are now doing loud construction here now at dunn bros. on lynden hills . . .pumping up my ear buds really now to tap . . .wow you had fun with this one - good vocals as always - yet always brightly diverse . . . ahh the same dissonant guitar 3 and 4 together 1t 1:18 -
you now now I feel better - because I love doing this too - but have not heard it a lot -

Wonderful vocals
Lots of other comments that I thoroughly agree with. But my 2 cents is to throw you many kudos for the vocal presentation, especially those wonderful measures of your chorus...Oh, beautiful piano work at 2:08 or so...Just wonderful playing and a nice interlude before you go on... Anyway, this is a beautifully produced song and so well-conceived. Congratulations. (Ah, those guitar bends at 3:02ff are also very cool.)
