Boozer Blues

Description
This is a song written and sung by our guitarist Gus. Gus writes the "colourful" lyrics out of the 3 of us who write ;)

Personnel here is:
Gus Washbourne - vocals and slide
Peter Reid - backing vocals
Ken Vatcher - drums
Neil Porter - bass and guitar

It was recorded live in The Shed, and I added the second guitar later to fill it out a tad. We were lucky to have Ken play on this - he's a great drummer who just moved into the neighbourhood.

It's a bit of fun!

Kind of what
I envision the stones would sound like if they were a blues band. Catchy riff, call and answer type of structure works great with this style vocal. Nice slide solo . Thanks for posting, enjoyed it!

Gus has been soaking up the kind words ;) We're starting to feel like we have this live recording thing down. Logic rules, and I love the warm sound we're getting through the Presonus FireStudio. Happy as a pig in mud really.

Go-rage bands rock - Shed bands, too!
What a great blend, sound. It's effing REAL! YEE-HOO! Gotta love the shed, guys. Wish I wuz there wit yaz. I keep-keep-keep wanting to get back to my 1-4-5 roots on blues and rock & roll. I'm totally digging the slide solo, just the right tone and restraint. Reminds me of all the years when if we didn't know what to play, we'd start with a 20-minute Rocky Mountain Way before someone would whip-out an original. No slight -- please -- I really dig this, it's "home" for me.

Great Jam man
Love the rhythm section and guitars. Can't understand the singer too well, but I suspect my hearing is the problem there instead of the recording. Nice slide picking Gus, and the call response between the slide and Tele is very cool.
