Description

This is loud, epic, and as close as I have gotten to making an over-the-top trailer style piece. It's a goal of mine to someday write music for trailers, so I'm practicing and learning now. While it's probably simplistic in its composition I quite enjoyed making it.

I'd love to hear what you think of it, and if you listen I hope you enjoy it.

The orchestration here is mostly just from what I've gleaned by listening and studying some scores, so it's great to hear I'm on the right track. Ok, this is quite awesome.
I really like your percussion here - both rhytmically and sound quality-wise. Sure that's a lot of muscle - but you gotta have muscle to pull people in.
Only one suggestion - I thought the low end timbre was maybe a bit flat. I mean, I can't hear anything in the lowest registers than the trombones/frenc horns. Maybe some double basses and/or cellos with them down there might fill the spectrum a little bit better.

But yeah - like I said: This is quite awesome.

To say it's awesome, is one thing. To say it's 'quite' awesome; then I know you're serious. :D I'm very glad you liked it!

Thanks for the point about the low end... You know, it might be that I was trying a different way of mastering, and with the EQ I chose, it might not be as present. I actually had Cellos and Double Basses but I'll consider bringing them up, and fixing the EQ in general.

And yep, this piece is actually all EWQL sounds (apart from that swish effect at 0:22). I'm pretty much broke because of it. :P

	I love over the top! and I am not talking about the Sylvester Stallone movie! this is dramatic and very interesting. man the instruments in this sound so real, EastWest just sounds FANTASTIC.
