When Anne (sisters) pm'd me and asked if she could send a vocal sketch I got really excited. Her work is fantastic and I was thrilled to think we might post something together. Well - here it is. I posted That E Thing instrumental back in March and I guess it got kinda stuck in her head.
Now that it's out she can go back to her other duties.
Thanks Anne!

The image is a painting by my wife Lisa Beck. I chose it because it reminds me of the moon and werewolves in this case - which relates in some abstract way to the song.

FREE AT LAST!
i like to listen to mj music whilst washing dishes. my scrubbing motion was slowed down considerably trying to get a grip on the original for several kitchen sessions. i don't ordinarily vocally duplicate the melody line the music's making, but that E thing left me no other choice - once in its grip, fuhgeddaboudit! i like the way the music builds ominously, tilts, releases and gets edgy all over again. wonderful mix, bud! i like the depth you've achieved.

Now here is something really fine!
I was getting into this, and in the middle I had to get up and make sure the front door was locked and chained. Nothing against furry critters. This guitar I love, and Anne's vocals are superb. A very haunting pleasure, and it is getting to the season for that. Excellent collab guys. Got my D/L. T

Love this little harmonic wonder. This is just the antidote to the stresses of a day... or night... or insominiac nethertime. This E thing's stuck in my mind, too. There's nothing to say about the details, how this note or that was played, it's of apiece, floating in and out like a friendly ghost. I've just got to have this one... thank you Bud and Anne.

Anne is the McGyver of vocals. A very cool track and just brilliant the way she finds the spot through out. Bud, excellent job on all else that makes it so interesting and trippy.

Based on you and Lisa's talent I bet your whole brood are a crafty bunch :-)

How did
you make the percussion move about like that ( I know that the answer will be so obvious that there will be a Homer Simpson outburst !)
