Description:
This is a hard one for me to post here. I'm no guitar genius, but this recording is pretty much a reflection of who I really am. It's a worship song we sing at our church by Reuben Morgan, Hillsong Publishing. My voice and guitar are recorded through my iMac's flat mic., the percussion is GB loops. I eventually would like to add backing vocals and light keys to give the song a little more depth, but still simple.

Lyrics:
When the darkness fills my senses, when my blindness keeps me from your touch, Jesus come. When my burdens keep me doubting, when my memories take the place of You, Jesus come. And I'll follow you there, to the place where we meet, and I'll lay down my pride, as you search me again. Your unfailing love, your unfailing love, your unfailing love over me again.

Hardware:
iMac G4 800 MHz, built-in mic. Martin HD-28

im a christian too, and ur music is inspiring. It sounds
like u have a really good voice but need more confidence
to really belt it out. but then again, this is a more gentle
track. anyways, well done!

Thanks for listening. I appreciate your comments about the vocals. I think I
can sing out more and still keep it gentle. It's pretty difficult to achieve that
whisper-like quality with enough vocal support to really carry it, but I'll keep
working at it.

Excellent worship piece &mdash 01/14/05 - 07:52:27 PM
I heard a few clicks here and there (I guess that's the
built-in mic?). I think a song this long needs to build and
vary to maintain interest. When you add backing vocals
and keyboards, you might build them to the final choruses
of 'unfailing love.' Those choruses would sound wonderful
with a full choir. Very nice piece.

Thanks! Yeah, the clicks were from moving the flat panel while recording (I
stood up after the first verse). I think I can notch them out on my next pass.
Your comments are very helpful. I was hoping to get some useful advice
before moving further on the arrangement. I appreciate it.

I'm not a religious person but still, I can feel it. I can feel
the love your singing in this song. I like the percussions
too. Great playing. Great song.

Good work. I think I may have found a new song to share with my congregation. Don't put yourself down about the guitar playing. You should hear mine. We're all a differing skill levels, and when it comes to worship, just give it your best.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. I hadn't heard of BJH before, so I looked them up. They've got quite
a history in the UK and a nice sound. Thanks for the wonderful complement.
Cheers!

I'm also a christian. i'm from careforce church down in vic.
I never thought i'd find somebody from Hillsong on here. I
love worship songs from hillsong. There's nothing sweeter
than worship music.
You've done a great job with this. As long as you sing from
your heart, thats all you need to do.
it's very inspiring.

Are you from Hillsong or did you mean the song was just from Hillsong?

Definitely meant the song was from Hillsong. I hope that was clear in the
description. Hillsong is in Australia, I think, right? I am American, but thanks
for the complement. Hillsong has some great music.

Hi,

I'm a new gb user, know next to nothing about mixing, etc. Being a
believer, I started looking for worship songs and found yours. I added
a harmony track. (one take, not professional or anything) If you'd like
to hear it, I can send you the file. Please email me if uou'd like to hear
it. God Bless and Merry Christmas!

Very nice song. That came from the iMac's built-in mic? I'm very impressed. It has a nice, soft, soothing mood.
