Description
Some folks had mentioned Bobby Darin in a couple of things lately so I thought I'd unleash this deal that I recorded a couple of years ago. It was written by Hoagy Carmichael in 1929 and has lasted ever since. The arrangement is by Alan McPike and while based on the Darin version, I pretty much did it in my own style. Thanks for listening and hope your week is off to a snazzy and scintillating start! Michael
"Lazy River" was written by Hoagy Carmichael (PD as of 2002 according to my source).
Arranged and performed by: A. McPike
Vocal: MJK
Artwork: The inimitable Bobby Darin at the peak of his success.
PS: Just two blocks from where I live is the Minnehaha Creek, which is connected to the mighty Mississippi--there is section that you can actually step over, so in a sense, every Saturday afternoon, me and my dog Farina cross the Mississippi. I just knew this would startle you to your senses, so thought I'd throw that in!
