Description

This is another remix, a song I dedicated to my wife several years ago for our anniversary. Most of the tracks to this song were lost in a computer crash. I had what was salvaged in Logic Express on a CD waiting for a re-do and conversion into Logic Pro. Ed Hannifin emailed me about two years ago and mentioned that he was walking home from work one afternoon and the original song popped up on his iPod. He played it to his wife as well once reaching home and said they both enjoyed it. I don't know if you remember this Ed? I sure did appreciate the compliment.

I had the opportunity to meet some talented macjammers at a Texas get together. The likes of Andy Wigzell (awigze) and Jack Hemby (davisamerica) to mention a few. I decided to include these two on the re-do as well as a past collaborator, John Parker (blamm). Thanks Jack for steering me in a different direction, being there and helping me figure out how I wanted to re-post this song. I would also like to express my gratitude to John for encouraging me to go ahead and post this tune with my vocal track. I'm also proud to include Andy who played sax and through his talent raised the bar. Andy is one busy man and from the latest polls has reached over 100 collaborations on this site. I wish this could have been the 100th but you never know... there's always a Bicentennial.

Back in April when Andy mailed his sax track to me, he mentioned that he wanted to dedicate it to his lovely wife Maureen. Andy and Maureen just had their 30th anniversary. I would like to take this time to also rededicate this song to my wife as well, we are approaching our 26th anniversary in November.

Many thanks to all who expressed their interest and input on this dedication.

Oh wow... thanks for the save. I had forgotten what I had said about dedicating my part to her.. Now I have some more points in the cue. I really enjoyed this song and how much it means as it pertains to your relationship with you wife. A lot of power in the two for one scheme of things. I remember how we talked at my house about collaborating 'on a song'. I am very honored that it was this one. I was thinking that this one could have been #100 but I would have to spend a couple of hours calculating it... let's just say that it is. Blessings.

	I never got to hear the 1st one, but I can sure appreciate the work you guys did on this one. It's a beautiful dedication and and excellent job by all. Hope everything is going well with you. I do appreciate your comments. You know... I only had one guitar track and a part of a lead that I ended up ditching from the original. One thing nice about it was the fact I finally got to use my Strat on one of the layered rhythm sections and lead. The Sax was what I expected from Andy and he made sure I tweaked it right in the mix.

I just like this song... Nicely delicate blend of acoustic tones with a bit of electric, and the sax tone is very sweet...

I'd only vote for a little more lead vocal in the mix... The words and melody are where this song lives, John.... Don't get shy about that...

	Ed I'm always fighting the levels on my vocals. I even thought about sending it to you for listen. "Should have could have". I heard the raw mix just passing by our computer room in the house while Andy was working the song, but how this polished up so wonderfully pleasing to the ears and to the soul!
