Hey Icy
I loved the discordance and the flashy blips here

this song sounds serious as though it is on a journey to somewhere

very good

I couldn't sleep.
You promised this would put me the right mood. What ARE those things whizzing by? Motes from an alternate dimension, perhaps? It is pretty, but way too short. I had barely enough time to get my hands on the joystick. Thanks.

Shades of
a wisp. What is a wisp you say!? Heck if I know but they are in your tune! Cool stuff. I liked the more "normal" background a lot. It gave it a foot hold.

Very Cool
I come from a household of gamers, and this certainly could be incorporated into a game. Love the bleeps and zussshes. Good stuff!

fun!
I get a really goofy ketamine feeling from this tune. Feel-good stuff, nice job. Could be longer though. I have to listen twice to get my satisfaction! Although maybe that's a good thing... ;)

I love
the jewel-like clarity in this, as well as the humour.... wonderful sounds.... and that 'swish' puts me in mind of someone's foot on a banana skin LOL or rather, I can see a couple doing a sort of stylised Tango and when they swish their legs as Tango dancers do, that sound comes up LOL... it's all very pleasant, regards M

eery
this sounds like the soundbed for an Ayreon song, there is so much going on for my ears to latch onto. I wonder if you'd consider adding some monotone vocals to the mix?

This is really cool.

The picture totally fits the music. LOL. Very fun to listen too.

Cool and funny
ic42 goes commercial?! Well, almost anyway. Incredible sound crispness you've got here. Thought at first that the blips and stuff were a bit too forward in the mix, but as it progressed I understood they weren't. On to the next listen, with headphones this time. Should prove fun :-)

Thanks!

Henke

Big contrast in this, some parts are almost picnic ready, reminds me of a day in the park a Benny Hill fast motion around a tree! Thanks for the instant grin!

It's too hifi for chipsounds, but it has that flavour. And even though I am not (or ever was) a gamer, I can enjoy the playful spirit of this.

yes, lyrics will arrive in version 0x02, which is being prepared now. it is hoped that this new 0x02 game will be a feast for two senses, not just one. there are many additional moving parts now, and the system is complicated. it will require another week to complete version 0x02. please stand by.

nostalgia
The sounds and blips in the song made me feel like I was pressing buttons in an old-school SNES game -- totally took me back to my childhood. Love the kind of spacey far-out melody.

way-back machine
I was hoping to provide that computer-game nostalgia, but with more bits in the soundtrack, it always seemed sad to me to hear those songs played in 8 bit mode. Glad it appealed, and thank you for listening and enjoying. 0x0

Surreal
so you have another persona on here?! This is surreal - I think its the clash of key signatures that give it the eery feel others have referred to. Perhaps The Addams Family play Pac-Man?? Nostalgic sounds for sure.

just one other me...
I have my classical side, and my quirky experimental synthesizer side, and I wished to keep them separate on Macjams, in case one style scared people away :-) I like the Addams Family reference, talk about nostalgic... "Morticia, that's French..." I believe the upcoming music video of this will make the whole thing even more surreal. Perhaps I shall coin the term "surrealissimo"? Perhaps not. :-) Thank you for wandering over to see this other side of me.

Absolute pro quality..
Hi Drak. Didn't pick this up when I first joined MJ. Pristine sound quality. The mix/master on this is one of the best I have heard on MJ. Absolute pro quality and fun at the same time. Regards, Peter.

i love a crisp mix
It is a holy grail to strive for, but I enjoy hearing things clearly. So difficult to achieve, however I have been trying to learn so much from everyone here at Macjams over the years, that some of it may finally be sinking in. I am glad you enjoyed the whimsy in the music. When the DVD comes out, this will be one of the featured music videos, with crystal-clear computer animation to enhance the fun. Stay tuned for an official announcement this month, but you now have sneaky information... shhh.
ttfn,
Drakonis

Very fun track!
I love the sort of mix of dark dissonance with chiptunes! Very imaginative - also a cool idea for an alter-ego for different genres. Hope you put your iPad to use soon in your work too!

great fun was had here...
and a lot of work then went into the accompanying video (hope you peeked at the trailer video in the description above). The mixture of "game sounds" with this music was meant to be a "bit" tongue-in-cheek, very glad to hear you enjoyed it. I have GB 09 on my desktop Mac, so I cannot continue editing the file ex-post-iPad... another software upgrade is now needed :-) However, an iPad tune is in the works now. Thank you for listening and commenting. I shall continue to return the favor.
