Description
I've always wanted to be able to just sit down and perform something with my acoustic live - very much back to my earlier style. This is a roughish version of a little tune I wrote one night after talking about "getting away for a while" with Jan. It's been over a year now since we got back from Switzerland, and we had a particularly cold few nights in a row ..........
It's just "man, guitar and microphone" in a single take - plus Logic, Mac and Ozone.

Lyrics
Just Right Tonight
©2010 Neil Porter
We’re living day to day
We’re going out tonight, tonight
You want us to get away
That sounds just right, tonight, just right
Let’s take some budget flight
Head north to where the sea is warm
Everything’s going to turn out right
We’re going to leave this winter storm
Let’s go where the sun’s still shining
Let’s go where the rivers meet the sea
This cloud’s got a silver lining
Right now north is where I want to be
North is where I want to be
We’ll take the long way home
We’ll get the very last plane we can
Turn off the mobile phone
Get back to where this thing began
Let’s go where the sun’s still shining
Let’s go where the rivers meet the sea
This cloud’s got a silver lining
Right now north is where I want to be
North is where I want to be
We’re living day to day
We’re going out tonight, tonight
You want us to get away
That sounds just right, tonight, just right

just perfect Neil, great acoustic song, lovely acoustic tone and vocals are superb.
A great recording, so clear and clean, I love to hear just an acoustic guitar and a vocal, good lyrics and very much enjoyed!
