A very beautiful piece, very relaxing and I'm glad I
downloaded it.

Such a warm and delicate melody. Rich chords. The
piano is a nice touch. Can't decide whether it sounds too
far in the back or not. All I know is that I like it a lot.

Another hit. &mdash 01/18/05 - 03:55:00 AM
Lovely tune, sensitively played. For me, the piano comes
in a bit abruptly. And I think you could do without it.
Takes away from the intimacy of the the composition just
a bit. (BTW, I like the artwork, too. Sweet!)

Thanks for the comments. I wrote this tune years ago when my kids were
little, and I used to play it at night outside their rooms, as a 'lullaby' on guitar.
The idea for a piano came later in the studio.

The artwork is a photo of my niece and my brother (their hands).

With guitar work like this... &mdash 01/18/05 - 11:57:41 AM
...who needs words? A beautiful, lyrical meditation. Almost
like a prayer. What kind of guitar is this and how did you
mic it? 8-8-8-8

Thanks Richard. The guitar is an Ibanez Vintage. It was double-miked with a
Shure directional mic and a Fender omnidirectional, one placed near the base
of the fretboard, the other at the base of the strings. Lo-tech stereo.

This is good! &mdash 01/20/05 - 08:17:43 PM
I like this piece very much. Excellent picking on the guitar
and a very nice touch with the piano two of my favorite
instruments. The recording technique mentioned below
gave the recording some body at least on my speaker
system which I gave you a 9 for production. I know that
recording live can be tricky with mics, especially with
pianos. I'll be sure from time to time to listen on some of
your pieces, I'm sure I'll like them all.

Cheers

When you can speak so eloquently with music?
Beautiful, lulling, assuring.

A gift.
