Description
I wrote and recorded this "fifties R&R" song in January of 2006 and uploaded here at MJ. It has been gone for a couple years or so, and (inspired to repost this by the Calchas R&R collab with Vic and Scott... great instrumental) I wanted to bring it back this "tweaked mix" to my songlist. The song was dedicated at that time to the announced engagement of _nderscore and Miss Chaos.
Being a throw-back song to the fifties rock and roll, the lyrics refer to three tunes from that era:
The ABC's Of Love
Why Do Fools Fall In Love
In The Still Of The Night
So here's my attempt to echo the R&R of the 1950's.
Long live Rock and Rollllllllll.........
And HERE is Richard Schletty with the definitive vocal performance of the same song ---> Without You (Richard Vox)

Lyrics
Well baby, baby it's a wonderful thing.
Since I met you, golly, all I want to do is sing.
There's no denying that you stopped me in my tracks.
And I ain't lying, I'm never turning back.
And one thing now is clear that whatever I do
I ain't gonna do it girl without you.
Well some say it happens in the still of the night.
This feeling that comes over me that makes me feel alright.
Why does the bird sing or the fool fall in love?
I'm starting to believe that you came from above.
Who knows where I'll end up?
Who knows what I'll do?
Just know that I ain't going there, girl, without you.
Bridge:
You know that I've been trying,
I've been trying every day.
To find a way to tell you
The things I want to say.
So let me spell it out to you,
The A, B, C's of love.
There ain't no other girl around
That I am thinking of.

capturing the genre. I dig your guitar sound and the rhythm your playing. Your voice is screaming for a backslap echo imo, but it's cool the way it is now also. Thanks for posting.
