Description
This is the debut single from my metal band, Faeble. It's a band I'm quite passionate about and we've been working incredibly hard during the last 6 months to create what I believe will be one of the best independent releases that comes out of the Melbourne (hopefully even Australian) metal scene next year.

The 10 track E.P. (6 songs, 4 incidental tracks, spanning 30 minutes) was recorded and mixed entirely in-house. The majority of the engineering and mixing was done by our lead guitarist Brendan Thompson and assisted by myself and the mastering for Blood is Boiling (and possibly the E.P.) was done by http://www.waltzmastering.com/ I'm also happy to say that we managed to produce all the sounds you can hear without the use of any drum samples (no triggers, not that I'm that fast) or auto-tune... and yes... that pretty little girl that sings at the beginning of the song is the same one that's making noise at the end too.

We are planning to release the E.P. on the 22nd of January, 2011 and I am particularly interested in hearing from anyone that has access to a music blog, forum, internet/community radio that would like to review/promote/play the E.P. (or even just this single) when we release it. So if this sort of music is up your alley (or you know someone else that has that alley) please message me and I can hopefully organise a digital/hard copy for you when the time comes. Although we've been doing quite well in the live scene in our home town (Melbourne, Australia), it's getting the word out that will always be the hard (or expensive) part, so any help we can get will be muchly appreciated regardless of whether it comes from Sydney, Texas, Osaka or Stockholm.

For more information on the band itself, please visit (and become a fan) at:
www.facebook.com/faebleband
www.myspace.com/faebleband

Also, for the time being the band wants this piece to be download only (though I would like to change that by the time we release the E.P.), so if you actually can/want to play this on an internet or community radio station, please message me and I'll arrange a download link for you.

Thank you so much MacJams!

Blood Is Boiling
This is pro in every way. Heavy yet melodic. The drums, bass, and guitars just kill. Love the vocal. I think the vocal could be a bit more out front in the heavy sections. If it were downloadable on this page it would already be on my iPod!

Cheers!
Thanks Andrew, for the time being my band is still trying to sell the hardcopies of the singles we've made (we only released this last Thursday, 11/11/10), but I'll let you know as soon as we change that.

Welcome back Bryan!
Excellent track, brilliantly recorded. I really hope Faeble goes as far as you want it to.
Your drumming is exceptionable - I bet you have a really happy bass player!
Cheers from "up north",
Neil

Great to hear from you again!
Now this is really something!

This sounds really thought-out and very, very well executed - both production wise as well as performance wise!
I'm maybe not the biggest fan of this kind of metal - but I really like what I'm hearing here.

And what is going on with this chick's voice?
She's rocking the whole friggin' spectrum!

Fav'ed!

Damn!
Mad groove, really tense feeling with the changeups building it up the whole way. Great playing, everybody! Love the ending.

Great stuff
Nice tight production, good performances all around. I need to listen to it another half dozen times before I give you anything constructive in terms of critique, but I like what I'm hearing so far.

You. Rock.
And I don't give that out lightly. Guitars have an Iced earth feel, love the clean female vocals. Tight, clean, and hard. I'd buy it.

Vocals.
The styling is damn near perfect, and that is rare in metal bands with females doing the rough vocals. DON'T CHANGE A DAMN THING. I don't care what producers or music analysts may tell you, the sound is golden. She isn't reaching for the sound or trying to ape a male style, it comes across perfectly as is, and I thank you for that. Get your EP up somewhere and I'd buy it.

absolutely awesome!
This is fantastic. The riffing and drums are so tight and heavy and the contrast between the vocal tone and the rest of it is brilliant. The only thing I'd change is the hi hats intro. Just blast into it, sounds like your counting yourselves in. This is better than most metal I've heard lately - and I've heard a lot.

sounds like
all your hard work really paid off. the production on this is stellar. really excellent job on the drums. great song writing and the band is tight. the great thing about this song is the lighter parts mixed with the heavy metal stuff. the female voice and the breaks in the song are great in contrast to everything else. seriously this is killer stuff. best of luck to you and faeble.

BRYAN!
Welcome back!
Very tight track happening here, like 'tiny man inside', I'll need to have a few more listens, however, the recording quality is pretty bloody good...(a bit different to the oompah band gig, perhaps?) ;)
Great to see you back!
Cheers,
Alf
